INTRODUCTION

Angela Bonneville is a retired police officer who proudly served the community of Palatine, Illinois for 25 years. Angela graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work.  Angela worked for years at Amita Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates with the inpatient and outpatient programs. Angela earned her License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in 2009.  Angela has been working as an individual therapist since 2019. Angela currently provides individual therapy, wellness checks and critical incident debriefing for the First Responders Wellness Center. 


Angela’s specialized training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Complex Trauma Certification Training (CCPT-II), Critical Incident Stress Management, ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider, Compassion Fatigue and Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Training.


Angela is a strong advocate for First Responder mental health training and education. Angela is the spouse of a retired LEO and has additional law enforcement, military and healthcare professionals in her immediate family. Angela serves as a Bank the Blue clinician and a Headstrong clinician.
