Angela Bonneville, LCSW

Provides therapy, wellness checks and training

 

Angela Bonneville is a retired police officer who proudly served the community of Palatine, Illinois for 25 years. Angela served as a Patrol Officer, Tactical Unit Officer, Crisis Intervention Officer, School Resource Officer and worked in the Crime Prevention/Public Education Unit. Angela also served on the Palatine Police & Fire Benevolent Association, a charitable organization that supports local first responders & their families.

Angela graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work.  Angela worked for years at Amita Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates with the inpatient and outpatient programs. Angela earned her License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in 2007.  

Angela has been working as an individual therapist in the Chicagoland area since 2019. Angela currently provides individual therapy and wellness checks for the First Responders Wellness Center in Lombard. Angela also provides professional training and educational seminars to local hospitals, law enforcement communities and other first responder providers. Angela provides critical incident debriefing to Chicago area first responders. Angela currently serves as a police/mental health representative for the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office on their Domestic Violence Deferred Prosecution Program.

Angela’s specialized training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Complex Trauma Certification Training (CCPT-II), Critical Incident Stress Management, Compassion Fatigue and Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Training.

Angela is the proud spouse of an Investigator Sergeant and has additional law enforcement, military and healthcare professionals in her immediate family. Angela is a strong advocate for First Responder mental health training and education. Angela utilizes her unique combination of clinical and law enforcement experience to assist first responders on their journey to improved mental health & wellness.
