INTRODUCTION

Tedra Tado, CRC, LCPC, is a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at Hines VA. She comes from a family of veterans and first responders.  She earned her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University and is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Tedra has extensive experience working with military veterans in a hospital setting, providing support for a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, addiction and recovery, and adjustment to life changes. With several immediate family members in law enforcement and the military, she has a deep understanding of first responder culture and a strong commitment to supporting those who serve.

Tedra is passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges, especially those in high-stress professions. Her therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and direct—tailored to each individual’s unique needs. She also believes in the power of humor as a meaningful and healing tool in the therapy process.
