She brings with her 19 years of dedicated service with the Oak Park Police Department, where she currently holds the rank of Sergeant in the Patrol Division. Throughout her distinguished career, Samantha has also served as a Sergeant in the Community Policing Unit, Youth Services, and the Detective Division. In addition to her leadership roles, she has fulfilled a range of specialized assignments, including juvenile officer, evidence technician, and school resource officer.

Samantha is a certified Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer and serves as the department’s Officer Wellness Coordinator. Her extensive training includes work with diverse populations and a strong emphasis on mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. She integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches in her practice to support holistic well-being.

As Samantha prepares for retirement, she does so with a deep sense of purpose—committed to continuing her service by supporting the mental health of first responders. With her unique blend of law enforcement experience and clinical training, she is well-positioned to make a meaningful impact in this critical area.

Samantha possesses a profound understanding of police culture—its demands, stressors, and the often-unspoken challenges that come with serving in law enforcement. Her insider perspective allows her to connect authentically with officers, earning trust and providing culturally competent care that respects the values and realities of the profession. Her work reflects a deep commitment to fostering resilience and promoting wellness within the first responder community.  Samantha is currently accepting new clients.
