INTRODUCTION

 

Dr. Rebecca Hans is licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in military

 

psychology, first responders, trauma-informed care, and psychological assessments and is

 

thrilled to be working with the first responder and veteran population. She graduated with a

 

PsyD from Adler University in Chicago. Dr. Hans completed her pre-doctoral internship and

 

post- doctoral residency at the St. Louis VA Health Care System with an emphasis in

 

evidence- based psychotherapy and assessment. Dr. Hans has been recognized as a

 

leader in student and professional organizations and dedicated her time to serving the

 

military and veteran populations through clinical practice, research, and organizational

 

involvement. Through familial and experiential influences, Dr. Hans is passionate about

 

working with the first responder population and believes that first responders need support

 

now more than ever. Dr. Hans utilizes a strengths-based, collaborative approach to help

 

client's function at their highest potential through psychological support that is tailored to

 

their needs. She prefers to take an active role in sessions by deeply listening and providing

 

tools to help clients achieve their goals. Dr. Hans can be described as warm,

 

supportive, enthusiastic, and passionate about serving each client she works with.  Dr. Hans

 

has experience in individual and group inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy and

 

psychological assessments for those with a wide variety of mental health disorders including

posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar

 

disorder, and more. Specific treatment modalities Dr. Hans utilizes includes cognitive

 

processing therapy, prolonged exposure therapy, exposure and response prevention for

 

obsessive compulsive disorder, cognitive behavioral therapy for depression and

 

anxiety, and more.
