INTRODUCTION

Linda Johnson.jpeg

Linda Johnson, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and former law enforcement officer with more than 25 years of combined experience in policing, crisis response, crisis intervention, and behavioral health. Prior to transitioning into the mental health field, she served over 20 years in law enforcement in roles that included patrol officer, specialized crimes detective, and police sergeant/watch commander. These experiences provide her with firsthand understanding of the operational demands, culture, and unique stressors associated with careers in public safety.

After completing her law enforcement career, Linda transitioned into the mental health profession, where she has spent the past several years providing therapy and crisis intervention services to individuals and families navigating trauma, high-stress environments, and significant life challenges. Her professional background allows her to connect authentically with individuals working in service-oriented professions, particularly those in law enforcement and other first responder roles, and to understand the cultural and operational realities that often shape their experiences.

Linda uses an integrative approach to therapy that blends the supportive foundation of Client focused therapy with practical strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based approaches. Her work focuses on helping individuals process difficult experiences, strengthen resilience, and develop practical tools that support both personal well-being and professional effectiveness.
