The weight of the badge is heavy, and the "unthinkable moments" you witness every day don't just disappear when the shift ends. At the First Responders Wellness Center (FRWC), we understand first responder culture because we are a part of it.

Founded by Dr. Carrie Steiner, a former Chicago Police Officer, FRWC is Illinois' only agency where 100% of the clinical staff consists of current/former first responders, veterans, or those with direct family experience. We provide a dedicated space where you don't have to explain the job—we already know it.
