Bridging Service and Support: Join the First Responders Wellness Center Team

First Responders Wellness Center (FRWC) is experiencing a period of rapid growth, and we are looking for dedicated, licensed mental health professionals to join our mission-driven team. At FRWC, we don't just study first responder culture; we live it. As the only practice in Illinois exclusively dedicated to only first responders and veterans, our goal is to provide a clinical home where "those who serve" feel understood the moment they walk through the door.

Why We Seek First Responders and Veterans

We believe that shared experience is a cornerstone of effective trauma-informed care. Our clientele—including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, veterans, and their families—often face a "trust-guarded" environment where traditional clinical approaches may fall short. We are actively recruiting current or former first responders and veterans who have transitioned into clinical work and are licensed as:

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologists (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)

  • Licensed Social Workers (LCSW)

  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC)

To work with first responders and veterans.
To work with first responders and veterans.

Impactful Roles in a Specialized Practice

Our clinicians engage in a diverse mix of specialized services that go beyond traditional therapy:

  • Trauma-Focused Therapy: Providing individual and couples therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities such as CBT, EMDR, CPT, and Exposure Therapy.

  • Specialized Evaluations: Psychologists conduct critical pre-employment evaluations and FOID Card reinstatement evaluations.

  • Wellness & Crisis Support: Facilitating annual wellness visits, critical incident debriefings, and on-scene crisis response for departments.

  • Training & Didactics: Participating in—and eventually leading—training sessions on stress management, resiliency, and officer wellness.
